  1. Naples was the first city to produce the meal known as “pizza” in the 1600s. It became a popular street meal among the impoverished Neapolitans. They would stroll about while eating their pizza because they only had one room. Others said their meal selection was “gross” and “disgusting.”  
  1. In 1889, the Margherita pizza was created. When King Umberto and Queen Margherita visited Naples, the Queen searched for new meals to sample after an extended period of eating the same cuisine. They had a special pizza cooked for her at the Naples restaurant, with tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, and basil. They combined these elements since the colors of the Italian flag were present. Margherita Pizza developed because of the Queen’s approval.  
  1. It was not until the 1800s that pizza became widely famous outside of Naples. Because some Italians began emigrating to America in the 1800s, they brought pizza to America, bringing their recipes and tastes.  
In 1905, the first pizza business in the United States debuted in Manhattan. The restaurant has subsequently relocated, but it is still open and operating today. Even the oven is the same as it was in 1905!  
  1. By the 1930s, pizza had become a popular meal. Other states gradually began to build pizzerias, resulting in the emergence of different sorts of pizza. Different regions of the United States began to develop their styles of pizza, such as Chicago deep-dish, New York-style, and so on.   
  1. Pizza ovens that use gas got invented in 1945. Rather than using wood or charcoal pizza ovens, this made pizzas cheaper and more efficient. Many restaurants have begun to use gas-fired pizza ovens, and they quickly became popular.  
  1. Following that, pizza franchises such as Pizza Hut, Domino’s, Little Caesar’s, and Papa John’s began to open and quickly became highly popular. Domino’s is the most popular and profitable pizza chain worldwide today.  
  1. Frozen pizza was not widely available in the United States until the 1950s. The pizza had just recently become popular in America in the early 1950s. Frozen meals did not become popular until the 1940s and 1950s when more Americans purchased home freezers.
